    Dr. Kendell Metcalf, DVM, CAC, CVA, CEqD
    Veterinarian/Practice Owner

    Dr. Metcalf grew up in a small farming and ranching community in North Central Oklahoma. He enjoyed working with horses throughout his childhood and decided to pursue a career where he could play a role in helping these outstanding athletes achieve peak performance. 

    In 2001 he attended the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School which he used as a trade to work his way through his undergraduate and Veterinary degrees at Oklahoma State University. During this time, Dr. Metcalf also worked as a Technician at Oakridge Equine Hospital.  After graduation, he returned to Oakridge Equine Hospital to complete an internship in the fields of Sports Medicine, Lameness, Surgery and Emergency Medicine.

    Following his internship, Dr. Metcalf has been fortunate enough to gain invaluable experience at well-known practices, such as, Oklahoma City Equine Clinic, Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford, TX and Moore Equine in Georgetown, TX, before establishing his own practice, Three Oaks Equine Clinic, in 2016.

    With his dedication to continuing education, Dr. Metcalf has advanced his skill set in the areas of equine dentistry, chiropractic and acupuncture.  He attended the Idaho Academy of Equine Dentistry where he certified as an Equine Dentist through the International Associations of Equine Dentistry. He also received Chiropractic training from Parker University in Dallas, TX and is certified through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Additionally, Dr. Metcalf attended the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL where he trained and certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. 

    Dr. Metcalf's professional interests include: Lameness, Sports Medicine, Rehab, Podiatry, Dentistry/Extractions, Minor Surgery, Chiropractic and Acupuncture.  He is currently pursuing certification from the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology and provides lectures with respect to Sports Medicine, Podiatry, Acupuncture and Dentistry at Parker University Veterinary Chiropractic program. 

    His personal interests include hunting, fishing and carpentry. He enjoys most spending time with his wife, Meaghan, and daughters Kenley, Kree and Kyler.
